Job Summary
Aquila Medical Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced EMS Supervisor to lead our emergency medical services team. The EMS Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing high-quality patient care. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to excellence in emergency medical services.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage EMS personnel, including paramedics and EMTs, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the EMS department, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Conduct regular training and education sessions for EMS staff to maintain high levels of competency and performance.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
Respond to emergency calls as needed, providing direct patient care and support to EMS personnel on scene.
Evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to incidents, personnel performance, and training activities.
Act as a liaison between the EMS department and other healthcare providers, agencies, and the community.
Participate in budget planning and management for the EMS department.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
Qualifications
Current certification as a Paramedic (National Registry or state equivalent).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency medical services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of EMS protocols, procedures, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EMS reporting software.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required; additional certifications (PALS, ITLS, etc.) are a plus.
